When a locksmith in Fort Myers, Florida, cuts a lock and it goes flying off the wall

Fort Myers locksmiths and their locksmith license are on high alert following a deadly incident on Monday night, which led to the theft of a locked car from a Fort Myers store.ABC 11 News reports that the vehicle was stolen from a store on North Monroe Street around 5:30 p.m. on Monday.

After a man tried to sell the car for $150, police say he then tried to rob the store.

According to ABC 11 News, the man allegedly tried to drive away with the car before he was able to get ahold of a clerk who was able with the help of his friend to remove the lock and the car from the store’s parking lot.

The thief was apprehended after a short pursuit and is currently being held at the Orange County Jail on $10,000 bond.
