Posted October 20, 2018 07:30:03 In the past few months, there has been a surge in locksmiths looking to open doors and apartments.
And some locksmith firms have opened a second location, bringing their business to a more affordable price point.
That means more options for lock users, but it also means fewer locksmith jobs for people with limited skills.
The city of Oakland, which is just one of the few cities in the nation to allow a single citywide locksmith company to open in the city, said the increase in lock service was the result of a $4.5 million contract awarded in June.
The contract was awarded by the city’s Planning and Development Commission, which oversees all of the citys zoning code, which regulates the city.
The contract with Kincaid & Co., which opened in the heart of Oakland in the fall, included an $800,000 fee for the first lock, and an additional $500,000 for each additional lock, with a minimum of $50,000.
Kincaid’s locksmith shop opened the doors in September and is now expanding its hours of operation to accommodate new lock openings, with new locks in the works.
In the meantime, the company is expanding its inventory of locks to meet the demand of the growing city.
Kinsman locksmith, which opened its doors in January in the West Oakland neighborhood, is expanding to an additional 300 locations across the city and in the suburbs.
It will also open a new locksmith office in downtown Oakland.
In addition to the downtown office, the locksmith has opened new stores in West Oakland, Downtown Oakland, the South Bay, and the South Hills.
The company has been expanding its locksmith operations throughout the city because it’s seeing the need for more locksmith services.
In fact, locksmithing has become more of a niche occupation in Oakland.
The company is currently in the process of expanding its operations to the West End, West Oakland and other parts of the City, according to a statement from Kinsman.
Kinsmans new stores, including a store at the corner of Ninth and Martin streets, are located in the Mission District, the citywide center of downtown.
In addition to a new store in the neighborhood, the Kinsmays Oakland store will also have two new lock-and-key locations in Oakland starting in December.
Kincamers new Oakland store, which will open in April, will be a second store to Kinsmen Oakland store.
