Lockdown is a feature that locks down your computer, tablet or smartphone, but it’s not always convenient.
A simple and fast way to lock down your device is by encrypting it, then turning off all apps and applications, or installing a temporary lock that prevents the system from booting.
In this tutorial, we’ll take a look at how to do just that, and how to get a lock down for your computer or tablet.
How to encrypt your laptop or desktop How to lock your computer with LockDown: 1.
Go to Settings on your computer.
This is the same setting that shows you the Lockdown setting, and you’ll see a list of applications that can be turned off or disabled.
If you can’t see the LockDown settings, press and hold the Windows key, and type in “Set as Lockdown.”
(You may need to click and drag the “lockdown” box to get to the Lock Down section.)
Find the Lock down section on your desktop.
You’ll see this pop-up menu.
Click the “Lockdown” option, and then click “More options.”
Select the “Set As Lockdown” menu option that appears.
This will set your computer to lock itself down, as long as you have the lock down option selected.
If the lockdown setting is disabled, you can select another option to lock it down for you.
This option allows you to set a lockdown password that you can remember.
You can use this password to unlock your device, but if you don’t remember your password, it’s easier to just use the default one.
Enter your password.
Click OK. 7.
How you can install Lockdown: 1.)
Install Lockdown on your device.
Open the LockDOWN menu.
Select “Software update.”
Click the Install button.
Select the software update you’d like to install.
Click “Install now.”
Your device should reboot automatically.
Note: If you’re not sure how long your device will stay locked down while you’re waiting for your lockdown to be activated, you might want to go back to your settings and click on “Lock down now.”
How to set up a temporary Lockdown for your laptop: 1) Go to the settings page on your laptop.
2) Go back to Lockdown settings, and scroll down to “Lockdowns” and click “Advanced settings.”
3) Click “Lock Down” and then “Set a Lockdown Password.”
This will allow you to make the lock your device’s default password.
You will need to enter this password every time you turn on the device.
4) Click on “Next” to complete the install.
You should see a message that says “This lockdown can’t be undone.”
5) Click OK to finish.
If your lockdowns are still locked down after you click “Next,” you can click “Reset” and you should be able to open your device back up.
How long your Lockdown will stay set after a temporary lockout: 1).
If you leave the lockdowns set for a long time, you’ll need to reboot your device to restore the Lockdowns settings.
You might need to wait for a few hours for your device re-boot.
If your device still has the lock downs set, it might be a good idea to go to your manufacturer’s website and install a lockdowns utility, like the one in the below list.
3) If your Lockdowns have already been set and you need to set them again, you could try to set the Lock downs settings back on your Device.
You could use the following command to do so: “lock down –config /sys/class/lockdown/lockdowns” If you still have Lockdowns set and your device reboots, it could be a sign that the Lock Downs settings are not set, so you should reset them.

You need to be able access your device at all times, whether it’s your home or office.

If there are certain data files you don�t want to see, you should try to store them on an offline hard drive or a USB flash drive.
